Campaigns / Topic guide
Give every ad request a defined role.
An ad placement can involve several different addresses. One takes a person to a landing page. Another may record an event. An iframe may load a separate document. Labeling those roles is the first step toward a campaign that can be reviewed and explained.
AdTech HTML URLSeparate navigation from measurement
A click destination should lead to the promised experience. A measurement endpoint receives an event request. Those activities can occur close together without meaning the same thing. Document which system owns each address, what triggers it, and what result you expect. A successful network response alone is not evidence of attention, conversion, or attribution.
Control the handoffs
Map any redirect between a creative and its final page. Record which parameters must survive and which host is allowed at the next step. When a provider uses macros, expand and test them in that provider’s actual workflow; a literal macro pasted into a page may remain an unresolved string. Avoid copying integration snippets across campaigns without checking their destination and configuration.
Review privacy and failure behavior
Consider what data travels with the URL and request headers, where it is stored, and which consent conditions apply. Browser settings, blockers, caching, and connection problems can affect collection. Give the campaign a usable landing experience even when optional measurement does not run. Keep private identifiers out of an address that might be logged or shared.
