Build a repeatable link review workflow.

Affiliate publishing becomes easier to maintain when each link has context. Track why the link exists, who reviewed it, what readers are told, and which destination should receive the click. A tidy inventory supports editorial judgment; it does not replace it.

Give each placement an owner

Identify the article or page containing the link, the reviewer, and the reason the destination is relevant. A reusable checklist helps editors notice missing disclosures, unclear labels, or outdated claims. Avoid building an inventory around commission alone. Readers need useful comparisons and accurate descriptions of the options available to them.

Separate the record from the public URL

Keep internal notes and approval status in a private editorial workflow rather than putting them into query parameters. The public link should contain only what the destination actually requires. A partner’s integration instructions may differ from another program’s, so maintain the relevant documentation with the record instead of assuming a universal format.
